I am going to be in chicago Mar 30 for a conference. I wanted to check out some of the local hobby stores, if someone could help me out with this that would be great.

In "Chicago" I don't think there are actually any hobby stores that support electric touring car racing or really stock much.

The "Chicago Suburbs" have quite a few but none that you could hit from one of the train lines. Maybe AL's if you switch lines to a burb train but man the ride through the West Side on the Green Line might be exciting. Probably the worst side of the city.

metra leaves downtown and stops about 300 feet from Al's Hobby Shop.

You get on here in Downtown:

You get off the train here in Elmhurst:

If you are bringing your racing gear, venture on up to Milwaukee on Amtrak and check out Trackside.

The train station is downtown. It's about a 15 minute drive to the track.

You can also take the Metra from Union Station to Wheeling and it would be a short cab ride to Venture Hobbies in Wheeling. This is also one of Chicagolands best Hobby shops. http://www.venturehobbies.com/

You would still have to drive to Chicago/downtown Union Station so thats almost 2 hours for you right there...lol. Rob King did this one year for the Novak race the station in Milw. isnt far from trackside maybe 15 minutes.

I would suggest Venture as a place to check out....they have a nice selection of everything but they are mainly into Nitro stuff now but there is still electric stuff there.

Kevin,

Where did you find the website with all the complaints to CBS. Those are some very funny complaints. I almost fell over I was laughing so hard after reading the first one and it just got better.

Yeah some people have no idea whats really going on in the world....when someone starts out and calls Prince a homosexual you know right then and there that they have no idea what the real world is. Price has probably laid more "straight" pipe then most plumbers have in the city of Chicago. And if anything from the superbowl could change someone it would have been the opening act....that was special. It was a cross between Sponge Bob and Tele-Tubbies.....these two shows are both outed as being homosexual in nature yet they are still on the air and I dont think anyone has turned gay from watching them....other then Wallstreet that is.
