He is not trying to refoam them....he clearly stated that the rim was bad and the tire was good. He is trying to get the tire off the rim and still be able to reuse the tire.

is the idea that the fumes will loosen the CA when you use a couple mm of acetone? Yeah, the tires are on some spoked rims and the spoke cracked. The rims wont last 2 heats before they snap off. The tires are at like 90% tread though, so I dont really wanna toss them. Anyway, back to the few mm of acetone. If the acetone touched the foam, wont the foam pull it up like a sponge?

keep the tire above the acetone in a sealed can of some sort. The fumes should break down the CA and allow you to peel it off the rim, make sure you clean the bead real good before remounting it on a good rim.

wildcat, I use a large coffe can with rocks in it...acetone in the bottom, top of the rocks is dry, wheels/tires on there then seal it up overnight, next day is usually just fine.

When I tried it, I used a tuna fish can with both flat ends cut off and a piece of expanded metal.

Anybody try the inverse wheels? how do they compare to the mono wheels? I used the mono wheels a while back and thought they were a little stiff...

I've "felt" the inverse and would say they're stiffer than my rulux or proline dishes.

never ran monos so can't help directly help with that.

Ordered some (inverse) I like the inside being smooth..the matte finish, not sure on that but after a few pipe rubs and cleanings all rims are dull anyway

Paul, have you guys gotten a chance to look at the wing mounts for the RB6 and see if just maybe the Associated wing mounts you guys make will fit?

I apologize if it has been asked before and I will accept my rightfully deserved harassment.
