Hi Doug:

On touring class we are mostly using 40 to 42, mostly 42. There were few drivers at the A main, that used 45 to avoid changing tires during the main. Yes we are going to race 1/8 also, but normally we have about 2 1/8 mains only. Personally I used 35* on my 1/8.

Ok Guys just got a call from someone at the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan Puerto Rico. they say we can get a Group rate of $165.00 per night single or Double occupancy. normally the rate at that time of the year would be over
$265.00 per night so if interested let me know (min 10) to block off.

Nice deal!
Walking distance of major restaurants.
Beautiful oceanfront pool, private beach.
7.5 mi from Airport.
Old San Juan, historic city, close by.

Enjoy the pictures.

The track is located more or less in the middle of both cities.

I agree with greenracing Dorado is closer, but maybe because I live in the east and that’s the way we take to the track.

In other hand, distance and time from one place to other depends mostly of the traffic, the driver and police officers. lol

I attach a Map of the Cities, to give you and idea. The map just shows the locations of the cities, no streets or highways.

Jspeed:

As Zobeida said, Barceloneta is almost at the middle, but considering that you will be arriving at SJU, the best option is Dorado. Also I have to mention that the access from Dorado is via expressway, and from Barceloneta to Isabela, you will have to expressway up to Arecibo and then start counting lights up to Isabela, I am pretty sure that you will get tire of counting them.

So your best option Dorado
