I wish NOVAK can offer the "replacement" program for those who purchased the brushless motor prior then the new "R" version that came with the sintered rotor.......like send in the old black rotor and get the sintered one for 1/2 price like $12.50 instead of buying the sintered rotor for $30 and having the stock black one as a paper weight....

Charlie....are you listening...? (LOL...just want to give that a try...I have 2 13.5 and 1 4.5 that are still using the old rotor and all get thermalled)

Just a clarification, I bought the 4.5R / GTB combo around Xmas time, does that mean I have the sintered rotor or the standard one?
I'm just guessing that I have the sintered

Or without opening the can..
Give the motor shaft a few turns. The sintered magnet cogs between segments like a brushed motor. No where near as strong of course, but it's very very definate!!

The regular rotor glides between segments.. almost no cogging.

Hi there

i got a little mess on my GTB capacitor ... i removed the heat shrink cover to check the damage

it got a road shave ... , there was some liquid in the shaved part, not much, looks like the shaved part was sweting , i cleaned it with a napkin , and it looks like it doesnt sewt anymore ....

i should replace it , i know , but im not sure i can get a new one before sunday race...my question is , what would happen if i run it and capacitor fails? would it damage the ESC? battery? both? nothing? flames? explosion?
