I'm using the KO 2123 - perfect ! And so far, I havent seen any better.
However, I dont know the Futaba one, so I cant tell the difference.
But I believe you cant go really wrong with either.

I use Futaba servos for 4 years now,
I began with a 9402, no problem since 4 years
I have also a 9450 for 2 years no problem
2 months ago I recently purchased a 9550, and have no problem with it.
If you really need space on your TC, go with the 9550, you won't regret it.

Hey Buddy
I Have had great luck with the Futaba 9550!!! (perfect size for a Cuda)
but I also use the Ko 2123 !! that thing is almost to fast
I have been looking at the Ko 2143 also might have to pic one up too
but if this is for the Cuda then I would have to say 9550 all the way

what is the difference between a digital servo and a fet servo?
e.g. the 2113 is a fet servo and the 2123 is a digital one, but they have the same specs..

The 2123 is also a FET servo
FET is just a certain type of transistors. Field Effect Transistor. They are more efficient than normal transistors. Once upon a time, they were hot news, now they doesnt cost much and are quite common. They are also used in many chargers.
Another difference between the 2123 and the 2113, is that the 2113 use plastic gears and the 2123 use metal gears. Metal gears can take more abuse, and I believe they wont get out of shape as fast as plastic types.
The 2123 got a coreless motor, which the 2113 doesnt. A coreless motor means smoother and faster operation. Usually metal gears slow down the servo, but probably the coreless compensate for that.
Digital versus analog; A digital servo got much better resolution. The torque are equal, regardless of position. And the holding power are huge. However, a digital servo use a little more power than a analog. How much? Well, I havent heard of anyone for whom it was a problem.
Now, the question is: Are the 2123 worth the extra money? As far as I know, when one first have tried a digital servo, they wont go back. Personally I had to wait two months for my 2123 - I've never regret it ! This feeling of control, suddenly I was able to change direction in the middle of a chicane. And to steer contra, when the car slide.
The 2123 are not cheap. And the 2113 aint bad. I will say: Buy the best you can afford. You can take it to the next car. And the next. And....

love my 9550. performs like a champ, but is so nice and small. it's the only way to go on my rclab car. plus it's about 10g lighter than any full size metal geared servo.

after reading some feedbacks from you guys i'm inlcined more to get a 2143...unless there's some reason the S9550 is really much better tahn 2143 apart from the size i'll definitely getting KO this weekend

If you had a choice for touring what would it be? The Ko Propo 2143 or the Ko Propo 2123?

The 9550 servo is great. I had a Airtronics 94357 before and it never seemed to recenter down the straights every time. The 9550 is perfect everytime. Its small, digital, fast, plenty of torque and its cheaper than the KO. I know the futaba's are easy to get repaired in the US also.
What ever you choose make sure its digital.

i have both...
the 9550 is way smaller and can save valuable space and weight.but the response is not as fast as the 2143...
