Default li-ion battery ?

This is a battery I pulled out a non working personal dvd player (bad laser). Saw it was a li-ion and thought would be fun to put in a xxx-t. But can anyone help figure it out. I think it is a 2 cell because feels like two different packs put together but not for sure can anyone come up with anything from the picture?

Yes, it's two cells. You can tell for two reasons. 1) a single cell lipo is rated at 3.7 volts ("7.4V"). This pack is 7.4 volts so 2 cells were used to produce that voltage. 2) the "2S" is standard battery nomenclature for 2 cells in series.

Tom

The discharge rate probably isnt sufficient for high amp draw use. Most rc lipo-LiOn packs have a 20c discharge rate.

Schmelme is right on the money. You can bet that that battery is a low amp draw chemistry and if you put it in a RC application it will probably be damaged quickly.

Thanks for the info I don't know much about them figured I would ask the people who might know. Now I will find the right place and get rid of it. Was worth a shot though. Thanks again

Check out www.a123racing.com, they have li-ion cells.

I'll be running a couple custom 2 cell packs in my mf2/ mamba 5700 and am using 2x 3s1p packs( series for 6s) in my xb8.
