Hold the right rear tire and the spur gear with your right hand, and try to turn the left. It should take some effort, if you can do it at all. If you CAN turn it, verify that your slipper spring, nut, and shaft turn. If not, your diff is slipping and the slipper is not. Crank the slipper down, back it off five full turns, and tighten the diff until the slipper turns when doing that test.

Now that you've eliminated any tranny problems (hopefully), the clutch nut. It's best to take the engine out, take the clutch off and apart, and clean everything well with motor spray or contact cleaner, and let it dry. Loctite the clutch nut and crank it down, then assemble everything back together. Make sure you get the clutch shoes on the right way, with the clutch spring hooked together, and scuff the inside of the clutch bell while you're at it. Make sure to leave a little backlash in between the clutch bell and spur gears when setting your gear mesh.

If that doesn't fix the problem, let us know...then I'll try to come up with something else, haha.

You can tighten it like that to cant you!!!

By holding the right rear and the spur gear and turning your left rear gently clockwise?

I took mine out in the dirt today!!! man is it hooking up!!! when it would grab WOT it went over on its shell everytime!!!

The MACH 15 is a pretty damn great engine for an RTR ,tunes great ,, and has awsome punch and top end.... Ran 3 tanks thru it ,, the only problem with it was the neighbor kicked me off his property!!!

Holding one tire and the spur gear and turning the other tire will not change your diff setting, because there is nothing holding the diff screw.

What happened to the wheel?

I don't think I've seen a wheel fail that wasn't the fault of not getting it lined up on the axle correctly...maybe ever.

I cartwheeled it once or twice but I checked it and thought everything was fine I guess it had a crack in the centerpiece !!!! I was coming out of a hard corner at a homeade track of mine!! And there it went zoooooooommm ,,, straight down the road ..
It probably didn't fail,, just landed awkward in the cartwheel!!
It was broke right at the wheel mount and the bearings were still on the car.

Oh well I can get those matching wheels now!

Do you have a picture of the wheel?

Sounds like...it was a front wheel, right?

Sorry about the bearings thing!!

Was the rear !!!!
Dont have a pic or any way to post one at the moment...
But to paint a picture :

The rear tire is in one piece!!!! but the center that goes around the axle was snapped off the wheel and still on the axle!!

About what????
Im depressed!
Ive had nothing but bad luck!!!!! WHO BREAKS A CENTERPOINT IN A WHEEL COMING OUT OF A HARD DIG!!!!

It was on a soggy ball diamond,, major traction but ,,it was probably already cracked a little before it snapped but it wasnt wobbling or anything???

Hey do you think those pede tires will hold on it till the others get here cause I really cant do without playin around with it?

I'm impressed because for as far as I can remember (which may not be ALL that long, I'm not sure) you're the only person I know that has broken a wheel like that.

I think I can say with certainty that it was cracked long before you were driving the car on a baseball diamond. Landing off a huge jump, hitting something, etc. are about the only things that would crack a wheel.

I suppose the Stampede tires will work until you get new ones, just make sure your diff and slipper don't overheat. The taller tires will put more stress on the drivetrain.
