Given they are hard to inspect/fix, its a trade off between a potential performance lose due to a bent baffle and the cost of getting a new pipe.
Given that was my first season of racing and i was still running at the back of the pack i was happy to take the performance lose than ask my sponsor (visa) for a new pipe.

My point. It might actually be better to have a dent on the outside , then to demolish the interior baffle.
Then again if it is only a minor dent, the presures on the baffles should be fairly equal so i wouldnt expect it to move.

I recently did it. Five times in two days, and the pipe looks chubby ( I guess too much pressure ).
