Paul,

Congrats on the great showing at the birds. What compounds and tire diameters were you guys running with the new 12th scale tires?

Thanks.

I ran Purple fronts and Grey rears 1.68 front/1.72 rear. For the main I ran magenta fronts but I cut them smaller 1.65. There was not much if any difference between big purples and small magentas. The purples I did not have to glue and the magentas were glued.

I just heard about these new 1/12th scale rims with the larger diameter from Parma today. I've ran the CRC and really like the larger diameter however I'm a bit old fashioned in my tire mounting and found out quickly that the CRC rims dissolve in laquor thinner. How well will the new Parma rims hold up to the old method of mounting/dismounting tires?

Laquor thinner will not take the rubber off since it is super glued on. You'll have to use acetone but I am not sure what that will do to the wheel. I would recommend just grinding the rubber off with a tire truer and then regluing them on.
