IMO the baddest .28 motor on the market is an EB Modded Novarossi 528 XR. I have two of these monsters and they are awsome. They are a bit spendy arount $400.00 modded and around $320.00 stock. The stock version will probably blow most other motors away. The PICO .28 is also good especially if you are looking at a bit more resonable of a price (around $200.00).

Good luck

for about 300 or less range you should try the sirio 23 or 27 the 23 is a 9 port screamer with plenty of torque ive got one on a revo and it made me a believer the only thing i see iis that if you break it down it cries factory press its a little rough the motor could use a good cleaning up. if you spend 300 on the motor and just take some time and polish it up or have some one do it you will be very happy and you will spend alot less money and have to tune it a alot less to the thing holds a tune like an os. i donrt know how much experience you have with nitro but race engines are sometime a pain in the asss to tune ive been doing it a few years now and sometimes i cant get my engines tune rite.lol thanks wayne and tino.............they always seem to get me strait!

Thats a pretty good choice for a motor. I'd say its like a midpoint between a racing motor and just a sport level motor. They start and break-in easy, tunes easily and keeps a tune good, and makes great power. You wont be dissapointed.
