Default Newbie..Needs Help

Hey Guys...Newbie Here..
-Just got myself a TT-01 Lancia Delta. Been trying toget into the hobby and after running into a store on my vacation in cali i found a 50% off moving sale. Landed the car, charger, better motor, better speed control for 150 area. Now i just started building today but im at the motor step and i need to take the wires off the old motor and put on the new motor. Has neone done this before that can give me some help. Also I still need a radio and battery if anyone has any recommendations for that. Also I live in queens new york if any new yorkers can tell me ne where i can race and get used to my car as well as some good local shops.
-Thanks
Rob

For radio and receiver i would go with a spektrum system. you'll never have to worry about it glitchin, or having to change crystals.
