There will be very little difference in performance of either car the US Edition has nice things like alloy shaft holders and clamp style wheel hex's added though. Add these to an R3 the price is a lot closer. It's almost down to what you like the look of most, sparkly graphite or shiney 3mm thick woven graphite. Half of the changes that the R3 introduces are features the Xenon conversion has already got.

The Barracuda has great acceleration, like all shaft drive cars. It handles nicely as a stock R2 and with the R3 or Xenon it will have slightly more responsive steering but the same stability.

OVa,

saving 25 bucks is better than nothing I do the best I can with the prices, and sometimes it is difficult witht he fluctuating exchange rate between US Dollar and the Japanese Yen.

You might want to consider waiting for the R3, just so you have all the choices available to you at the time you make the purchasing decision. No one on here can make you the promise that R3 will be the car you like, only you can decide that, so just keep up the research and I'm sure you'll find the car that's just right for you All of us on here like the car quite a bit

By the way guys, I had a good run with the R2 in Mod today. Finished 2nd behind R/C Tech regular MDawson. I'll post my findings later

I'm sorry about what I said..I didn't mean that the 25 dollar is nothing or 40 dollars..I'm saying that some people don't have all the money to spend all at once...sometime for them to buy one thing at a time How soon you do you think the US edition be out...

If you don't have the cash then the R3 will be a great car in stock form, so saves you some money. Looks like Steve doesn't have the R2 in stock at the moment anyway, having trouble finding them now Steve? or are they stuck in some warehouse for some donut muncher to put his grubby paw marks on everything?

I think it shows that a car is good when people are willing to put up with not so easy to get parts and paying import costs. Everytime I want something so far for my Cuda it's meant an international order, but I still wouldn't go for something like the Yoke SD because I like the Cuda too much. It's consistantly fast and responds as you expect to setup changes. I could change cars and get a small discount on prices but I'm not going to, I'm wishing I had money for a second Cuda

KO Racer and the folks he races with will be able to help you there If you ever race on a wooden gym floor then I'll be of more help

Hmm, 1.30am, I really should clean my motor, need some speed for racing tomorrow night last night before the West Coast Open on Sunday (west coast of Scotland ) Will need to buy some narrow mini pins and get them worn in a bit tomorrow too, hope they keep the balance I have with wides and just increase overall grip.

hey KO
What kind of traction are you getting from the carpet ? Are you running rubber or foam tyres?
