Default Setup for TC4 for beginner

Hi,

Looking for a forgiving setup for my TA FT TC4. If you have a sheet you can e-mail it to [email protected] or post some suggestions.

Oh, and it for running on carpet, foam tires, stock.

My handling stinks when trying to hold a straight line on the straights, lots of wondering. I'm pretty much running the stock setup with red springs front, blue back and no sway bars front or back.

Thanks
Mike

Check out one of the great setup sheets on Associated's site.

As for the wandering, welcome to AE TC so as I've experienced it

in regard to the wandering, the chassis may be tweaked, especially if you have had a reasonable impact...

You can try loosening all of the structural screws on the bottom of the car to release the tweak.

Sorry I don't run on foam, otherwise I'd send you something. Are there any other drivers at your track that run the TC4? Check with them

It's a good car and although I have experienced some wandering due to tweak on my stock car, I also run a novak 4.5 and can hammer it straight as a die (it's when I have to make a corner that the trouble starts!!!)

Also, hold the car in one hand and go full throttle watching the front wheels. Sometimes they can wobble (perhaps from glitching in your electronics). That will make your car erratic.

Good luck mate.

sorry Mike, I mean I don't run on carpet...

My mod FT TC4 was clocked at 90.9kmh at my club (56.5mph) in a straight line. No torque steer, just hard core speed.

Happy new year!!!

Default Tweaking

Thanks,

I'm rebuilding it right now to match one of the team associated drivers using foam on carpet. I also put in a new ESC ... mine was really on-off, this should help corners. Not too many at my club, all XRays. As for Tweaked, could be, I have eaten some walls really bad. Oh, and I'm throwing in a new stearing linkage assembly, mine broke.
