Default PARMA Mohawk

Well I'm here at the Novak and it looks like the PARMA Mohawk body is the hottest carpet body. Currently it is producing the quickest lap times at the race in all the foam classes (Mod, Stock, 19T). Many of the nations top drivers have choosen the PARMA Mohawk for competiton this weekend the event.

Heard any other drivers opinions reguarding the Parma Mohawk compared to the older Parma Alfa?

Are many racers still using the Alfa?

Seems like 95% of the buzz on this thread has not really answered your question too accurately. The results from the last 3 major carpet events (including todays NOVAK U.S. Touring Car Championships) are all pointing toward the Protoform DNA1 (w/ the foam/carpet combo) and the Mazda 6 (w/the rubber/carpet combo) being..... very good.

I.I.C Race (carpet) in Vegas:

Stock Touring Car Rubber A-Main
1st Place & TQ - Jason Ertrachter - Pf Mazda 6
10 out of 10 in A-Main - Pf Mazda 6

19 Turn Touring Car Rubber A-Main
1st & TQ - Weylin Rose - Pf Mazda 6
9 out of 10 in A - Main - Pf Mazda 6

Modified Touring Car Rubber A-Main
TQ - Paul LeMieux - Pf Mazda 6
1st Place - Atsushi Hara - PF Mazda 6
8 out of 10 in A-main - Pf Mazda 6

Stock Touring Car Foam A-Main
1st Place & TQ Travis Schreven - Pf DNA1
6 out of 10 A-main bodies - Pf DNA1

19 Turn Touring Car Foam A-Main
1st Place & TQ Bobby Flack - Pf DNA1
8 out of 10 A-main bodies - Pf DNA1

Modified Touring Car Foam A-Main
TQ - Paul LeMieux - PF DNA1
1st Place - Mike Blackstock - Pf DNA1

1st Place & TQ - Paul LeMieux - Pf DNA1

Modified Touring Car
9 of 10 A-main drivers - Pf DNA1

Touring Car Masters

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Novak U.S. Touring Car Championships (carpet) @Trackside Hobbies in WI:

19 Turn Touring Car
TQ & Ist Place A-main - Paul LeMieux - Pf DNA1
3rd place Qualifier - 2nd place Finish - Barry Baker - DNA1

Modified Touring Car
TQ & 1st Place A-main - Paul LeMieux - Pf DNA1
2nd place Qualifier - 2nd place Finish - Barry Baker - DNA1

(incomplete information - race is still running)
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rod: the all new MazdaSpeed 6 #1487-00 should definitely be worth a test - since most pro racers who've had a chance to test it with a rubber/carpet combo say it's even better than the older Mazda 6. (easier to drive quick laps)
In 8 days the options for you racers will increase once more with the official release of the Pf DNA2 designed specifically for rubber tire racing on carpet as well as paved surfaces.
Both new bodies, the #1487-00 MazdaSpeed 6 as well as the DNA2 are ROAR approved.

Good luck at the 'Birds Rod! - Dale Epp - Protoform

Good luck at the 'Birds Rod! - Dale Epp

Thanks Dale,
I was prepared to go with the Mazda 6 and your advice along with a little more research made it easy. I will have to get my LHS to get the new one to go with the one I have.

The mohawk is the real deal on the carpet, however probally more suited for stock/19t many of the top guys also used it in Mod at the novak race this week.

Hey Guys,

We just got back from the Novak race. We were very pleased with the results of the new Mohawk body. Here are the results:

Stock TC:

TQ, 1st place and top 3. Also 9 out of 10 in the main including the top 9 spots in qualfiying.

19T TC:

5 out of 10 in the main abd one Alfa

mod tc:

5 out of 10 in the main and 2nd and 3rd place. We also had one Alfa in the main.

We also had a good showing with the Type M body on rubber tires. 1st place in brushless and many other A main appearances in brushless and stock rubber.

Thanks to everyone that used Parma products.

Paul
