The SDW bearings are supposed to be the precision bearings from yokomo, which are a step up from the regular kit bearings.

How much freespin is everyone getting with their SSG? I can't even get 3 seconds. I've got some teflon plated bearings coming in this week, maybe that will help. And I'll spend a few hours getting everything reshimmed when the bearings come in.

Mike Lafaso's TC4 could get maybe 10-15 freespin when he hand turned the wheels. I just can't imagine getting over a minute of spin when a National Champion can only get 10-15.

Point made. With my Rayspeed cleaned, lube and ready to go I get a consistent 13-14 seconds. The 10-20 second range is awesome if you ask me, so I can't imagine what 65 seconds is like... -JB

I could get 65 seconds if I strapped in a motor, spooled up to full speed, then pulled it away from the spur. I don't think anyone has the physical strength to spin a drivetrain for over a minute, unless they have lead tires and rims .

I'm testing brand new 7T xenon motor racing today with 80 spur gear and 21 pinion gear. This should give me final gear ratio 8.96, which is safe range for 7T motor, am I right ?

Unexpectedly my friend's car is going faster than me by using Tamiya Transpeed 9T motor ??

So I go back to the bench and replace the pinion with 24, it's going faster but still my friend TRF could easily pass my car at long straight with ease

I think the world is not round anymore

Just wait until your friends car smokes that motor. Then you'll be glad you arn't passing him down the straights

We are preparing for upcoming modified race at GP car race track. Long straight with lots of sweeper corners.

My friend car is almost as fast as GP cars and successfully run slightly over 5 minutes, and without smoke.

My brushes become so short just after 2 batteries especially on positive side. What went wrong ?

Sounds like its overgeared. How much capacity is left in the batteries after a race?

He must be geared really low (big pinion) if he's faster than your 7T, you shouldn't gear your motor lower than 8.6 FDR but with your 24 pinion your FDR is 7.8 and thats way too much for a 7T!!

Also, what packs are you/he using?

That is LCG conversion? Will it change my ssg to World Replica? There is too many option in SD.

matt posted the specs for the LCG kit above, the kit will make your ssg/cgm real close to the worlds kits but with even more upgrades. and yes the yok has many options, which makes it one of the most tune able chassis out there.
