thought about getting a used SD for the parts for around $75-100
and getting the LCG. so total price will be comparible to a new BD or high end touring car. $350-400 range.

Compared to normal american prices... yes, thatīs expensive. But here in Germany you pay easily 400$ fora CGM... so I donīt worry about this price. I would say thatīs cheap.

Will the LCG Kit fit all the different version of the SD including hte CGM? What does the kit all include. Does anyone have an online link to see what it comes with?

If you are going from a 1 way, just do everything you can to get more steering. With a spool I like to go 1 step heavier front springs, then run the same in the back. Lower the inner front camber link (if you can) and raise the rear. Less toe-in, I usually run a little front toe-out as well.

I think you meant 1 weight softer front springs. Heavier front springs will give less steering, but smoother steering and overall easier to drive car. Hard fronts are best with a one-way since you'll have plenty of steering.

Unfortunately no, the LCG Conversion has a new chassis, bulkheads (diff cases), and all sorts of new stuff. Won't work with what is out now. The drive train, and suspension is compatible.

Now that Ive had a while to play with my SDW, ive hardly changed the set up at all. Just wondering if many others out ther have dne much in the way of set up changes? and what they were.

why the LCG kit won't fit CGM cars????

It should, you're only using the suspension and drivetrain off of you other car and that is identical between all the SD's. The LCG conversion is including a new chassis and bulkheads among other things so it should work on any SD version.

mine is pretty stock setup too, i've stood the shocks up one hole and change to a 2 degree rear block. thats pretty much the way i run it, i have tried different camber link holes and hub positions but always end up back at stock, going to tried the older mr4tc front c hubs (7 degree) this weekend. haven't changed the axels yet but new ones are one the way. bent one and hate to straighten it out AGAIN. gonna save them as suveniors.

Usually when I run a spool it will be on a smooth outdoor track. I like going one weight heavier in front, and matching that in the rear. On my BD I will use Rayspeed white in front and blue in rear with a 1 way. For a spool I run red all around.

Have you tried speedtech? If they don't have any just use the losi spool pads and turn a spare diff (if you have one) into a spool.

Hey Matt, I think people are wondering if they can fit LCG parts on the existing chassis, like fit the new bulkheads on say an CGM one? That's the feeling I get from the questions being asked of the LCG kit. Correct me if I am wrong.
