I finally got internet in my room so I'll be able to visit this thread more than once a week. Yokomo has a new body coming out, the status type E. It's supposed to bridge the handling gap between the stratus 2.0 and the mazda 6, more aggressive than the 2.0 but more stable than the mazda. There's another body coming out but I don't remember the details on that one, sorry.

not bad, doesn't look like I'll be doing any racing till I get in the states though. Just way too many obstacles with me traveling to track with all my gear.

Default Spool setup

I currently running a front one way diff and would like to try a front spool. What changes would I need to make to getting the initial and mid turn right?

try spacing your front arms to the rear and standing your front shocks more upright, both will give you more initial steering. It may take awhile to get used to a spool since it handles so differently but it should be faster than a diff up front and on some tracks it will be faster than a oneway.

I have done the spacing for the front arms and same for the rears as well. I will try standing the shocks. If any chance I am still understeering initially what else can I do.

cool car, cool mod, and cool pix quality !!!

how did you twist the servo 90 degree ? do you need to drill a hole to chassis ? isn't that hard to drill graphite chassis ?

I'm thinking the same too now

Just wondering if.....

anyone has any ideas for receiver mounting.

I have a JrXs3 receiver for my CGM and I have a Nosram esc both of which will fit the area where the radio gear is supposed to go (admittedly with the receiver on it's side) BUT......

to be able to access the pots for adjusting the frequency, even with this small esc, I'll still have to mount the receiver in such a way that I can lift it out to change the frequency as the esc is just big enough to block the adjusters.

I could put it on the servo but I'd rather not and velcro just isn't up to the job and double sided tape would just be a pain replacing every time.

So just wondering if anyone has alternate methods of fixing their receivers in the tray?

I have been using velcro for years and it holds up as much as tape. The reciever has been ripped apart about 3 times btw so if it don't hold up well call me something other then my real name.. Another good thing about velcro is that the reciever or ESC does have a bit "flex", more flex=Less vibration-damage

About your placement, Mount the reciever ontop of the servo r buy a Futaba S9550, you get about 1 cm more space for your electronics
