So why the change to a belt. I have only driven the shaft cars so far.

Yeah, fair enough - but why get rid of the car as well? Or do you just fancy a change?

Not so much changing to a belt, I'm changing to a Losi. I drove the car before the SD and it had more cornerspeed than anything Ive seen, but it lacked power coming out of the corners. Now that Losi has released the HD belt, the drivetrain should be very free, and have the power out of the corners, as well as the speed through the corners. I also switched to a shaft because I was running a lot of stock, but now that I'll be running mod motors, the belt will be plenty powerful.

Yeah, the Losi brigade at our local tracks are plenty quick enough overall, though I'd say they lose out a little on the straight line with Stock or 19 spec motors. I drove one last week, it felt well planted but lacked the punch of the SD IMO.

Let us know how you get on with it!

I have a feeling the one you drove didn't have any of the belt mods done to it then, because they definately make a noticiable difference..

O kay. I hope I'm not repeating a post here, but this forum is long. Anyway, my question is do the new shocks accept the old springs from the Worlds belt car? Don't want to have to get all new springs for this car too.

all the old springs fit and if you get the rayspeed bottom spring holders you can use almost all the springs out there...

I was using a japanese edition 3pk on 40mhz. It was really awesome during practice, never had to worry about a clip, but I couldn't have it serviced to see if thats what was causing the glitch. I'm switching back to a good old M8 on 27 band. That should keep me clean, and if I need to have it serviced, Airtronics isn't much of a drive.

howdy folks,

question about roll-center... I'm still fighting that off-power hook that I described a few pages ago. I'm thinking about messing with roll-center. The question is, on a typical SD, is the roll center below, or above the CG? I know how to raise the RC, and lower it, but I'd like to know where I'm starting from, since the relative position of the CG and the RC can actually totally reverse the effect of a setup change...

Sooooo.... RC below CG or the opposite?

Thanks much,
LAter,
Paul
