Hi friends. greetings from Malta.

At the end of a busy week building cars in a hurry - why do guys always want a car all built, tried, and tested in 24 hours - I found time to build a CGM too.

Must say I'm very impresses. Whilst it does carry alot over from the successful TC3, it looks so much beefier all round. And I like some of the touches too. I like the way the motor mount spreads it's load right across the chassis (an improvement over TC3), and I'm impresses with the small amount of slop everywhere. I like that dinky rear bumper / grab handle too.

There isn't one piece of plastic in the whole kit - yes there is, the body mounts and bumpers, but that's all, the rest is all lovely graphite.

It's an easy build and get's my vote for the best value for money car on the market.

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.
I knew you'd be impressed with the new car, now just wait until you drive it.

The heavy duty short ones. It will not fit the link that connects the two steering bellcranks. It will hit the susp mounts.

edit:
Part #73375 for the blue ones that I use.

Speedtech carries the conversion, you might want to check there as well, Steve always has competitive pricing.

Default Front 1 way

Front 1 way questions
How much slop do you have in the front 1 way drive cups?
mine moves sides ways up to 5mm.When the drive cups go inwards, the dogbone pins almost slip out.
Is this normal?
should i shim the drive cups?

Did you put the little black o-rings in the drive cups? This should take a little slop out of it. It is normal for there to be some play so that they do not bind when the suspension travels up and down.

I just picked up a Parma Alfa body and have been running the Protoform Mazda 6. Has anyone tried the Alfa yet? How does it compare handling wise, and what can I expect vs the Mazda on carpet? I'm asking because there's a big race coming up at the local track and I'll have limited time for testing before hand.

You shouldn't have to shim the drivecups out at all, you do have to put an O ring in them to keep them from sliding around but the dogbone pin shouldn't slip out. Is it almost slipping or actually slipping out?
