Hey, I represent that statement! Actually, the SD is a nice car and when setup correctly and being wheeled by a good driver, will always be in contention as with most top of the line chassis.

As a matter of fact, an SD ruined my hat-trick opportunity of 3TQ's and 3Wins in a row by beating me last time out...giving me a 3/2 ratio Good job Jason E

He posted that he was using Ray Speed Springs and Ray Speed cups. You use Yoke shock ends with the Ray Speed cups.

Well there's 2 yok shock ends...long and short...
with the RS cups use the short shock ends. and on the front C-block...use the upper hinge pin hole position.

You certainly would'nt get more play with long shock ends. I would think you would have to shorten the shock length or change the mounting holes for the rear shocks.

I have a setup i came up wiht but im not 100% happy with it. I get the odd traction roll with what im runing. And i cannot get my oneway to work with the setups i have been using. I actually get understeer when using it.

Hi! I am using the short shock ends -- still can't get lower than 7mm. I am also using the lower hinge pin position on the front c-block. I can/will try going to the lower and see how that affects handling/height.

I read earlier on this forum that I may need to lenghthen my shocks to 64mm for the RS springs/cups in order to lower my ride height. Is this true? Still wondering if there is another way.

use the upper hinge pin mount on the C-hubs...that will bring you down to 4-5mm.

well i had problem with ride hight as well in the rear what helped me solve the problem was Adding 2 1/4 oz by the motor cuz the car is un balanced on that side witch caused the side to even out with the battery IF all else false try this but i would recommend it cuz ive tryed everything

Did you change springs and damping when you tried standing the shocks up? That's basically the same position as the hole I use on my Atheena towers and I think the car works great once you soften the damping and springs. I use #2 pistons and 35wt oil and blue springs. I feel this makes the car more stable and precise compared to the standard position and setup. With the softer damping it also rotates very well around the apex.

How does the RS spring rate compared to Assoc. springs? What equals what?

Kaizen you also have to trim the shock end 2 mm this will lower the perch to help with ride height.
