How is the Rossi motor compared to the Novarossi in terms of performance/reliability?

Mugen, RB, and a few other brands get there engine blocks from Nova. They just add there own piston, sleeve, crank and con rod.

Wow, 1.48hp? That's pretty good. Is the Rossi R12 a standard or turbo plug? how many ports?

probably a better question than 'turbo, ports etc' is how do they measure their HP - and is that the same standard as everyone else (if there is such a thing as a standard)

RB dont make claims for their HP, but on the track they seem to keep up! so if they said they had 1.8HP would that mean that they had 1.8HP or that the way everyone else measures HP is wrong, or they dont have 1.8HP and they are more like the claims of others 1.35HP?

for my A$0.02 (whats that... about US$0.01 so its a devalued opinion! ) i dont think anyone actually knows for sure what HP their engines are putting out.

i reckon novarossi said ok this engine make 1HP the next design is more powerful so lets say 1.15, then the next one 'hmm' 1.3, oh the JP is a bit grunter then the original so lets say 1.35..... and so it goes the estimations of HP keep climbing

i guess it would be interesting to see dyno results from all of the claimed 1hp+ engines on the same dyno. Maybe RCCA mag could do this. also at how many rpm's they make hp.

contact since there's no such thing as $0.02 in Aus maybe you should be giving your $0.05 worth!

oh no acs! have a hunt in most lounge chairs with a bit of age about them... you'll come up a winner with 2c!!!

we are pulling the x12 RB and dropping in a 5 port collari today, the GT-4 should fly (as if it dosent already!)

drove it yesterdy with the solid rear end - foam on concrete not the best at any time, but it was not too bad, finally got some serious steering!

back to running in for racing saturday and sunday

Default Rossi's debate...

Guys.... they are brother.... they made engine .... novarossi is spcialized in car engine, rossi made many purpose engine such naval, copter and plane and 'course car engine.
They divorced some year ago, mading two separated company Rossi and Novarossi.
There are many difference in term of performance... but one thing is sure, Nova is the best!

Bye

Andrea.

I thought Rossi pretty much gave up. I havent seen anything around here that is a Rossi in a long time. Nova has basically put him out.
