How to repair a Fuel Tank?
I know that the best way to repair a fuel tank is to buy a new one
But, if I would like to give it a try, what would be the best method to repair a broken fuel tank?

you can patch one, depending on if its a crack, or broke... rough up the area with sandpaper, clean with soap and water, then I used blue RTV sealent. worked fine when I used to bash my n4tec. Whatever you use you have to test it to make sure the fuel doesnt soften or eat it away. Gas tanks are cheap, Better off buying a new one. Sorry

If the tank is split along the seam, you can run a soldering iron along the joint to melt it back together. We used to do that way back to save a tank or as a fix between races. Just make sure you pressure test afterwards. I have also used shoe goo with limited success. It only lasts for a race day, but will get you through the day or weekend.

Thank you all for your help.
I think I managed to find a solution. At least it is working well so far.
Roughed up the area with sandpaper, cleaned with soap and water, then I used Pattex Repair Express.
thanks. Merry Christmas!

Nop... didn't work
The Pattex fell of... the only way so far was to melt the crack area and close it with the melted plastic.
Thank you again.

i cleaned the crack with alcahol, put some ca glue and accelerator on it, waited and did it again, its been a few days and a few tanks and its still holding pressure, waiting on a new tank. i let it cure overnight to make sure the glue was dry.
