Default First experiences

Took my newly acquired 07/08 Phi out today to scrub in some new tires and get the hang of this car today. Sweet! Quiet and held up to me slapping the boards. I'm totally new to this touring car thing and the traction hasen't come up yet on these new tires, but driving a touring car seems a bit easier then my WGT car. Only thing is my times aren't as fast yet as when I run WGT(still crappy), but think it's more an issue of the traction not coming on the tires yet. Still get 2-3 more packs until these tires are broken in. Running sweep spec tires BTW.

Few questions:
1) Whats the recommended doping setup for the car? I forgot to ask the local pros this one. On WGT, I do the entire rears and inner half of the fronts. I just realized when I got home that I doped up all of the tires when I ran them today, front and rear.
2) Recommended neutral noob friendly body for it. It currently has a ltc-r on it i think, but based on my driving, it wont last too long =) I run rubber tire carpet 17.5.
3) Trying to find the smaller diameter pullet that will fit the one way off a 07. The 07 looks like it runs a larger diameter inner circle then the 08's and just want the right PN before I order...or if anyone has a bunch of used bits and bobs they want to get rid of =)

An observation, when running rubber carpet, the tires pick up a ton of crap and residue after the run. My post run ritual is to wipe the tires off with a motor sprayed up napkin until no black comes off and then dope with sticky fingers or my kingsford/mineral oil sauce, then hook up to the charger.

Other then that, not a bad first time with a touring car for me!

Default TUning stuff

Anyone know what other kit turnbuckles are the right length for the phi?

Also, thinking of making a slipper spool out of an extra old version diff here. Anyone try making one of them before for the phi?

Hi Guys,

Does the Tamiya 416 diff fit in the RDX 08? I know the TA05 ones do. - I'm looking at buying a SpecR gear diff, so I'd like to know as much as possible before buying.

Thanks.

Try John at AB Charles Hobby Shop 412-561-3068. He has a good bit of RDX parts in stock, might have a belt in there somewhere.
