1/10 RACER

Hello Everybody, i am a Newbie and dont know anyone with r/c cars.... i have just built my first 1 /10 car, its a Cyclone S and should do me well as a beginner car i beleive. A big hello to everyone on the site from Australia....now my very first question..... I need some Pinion gear ratio advice for my Cyclone.. firstly i need a recommendation for a pinion gear ( # of tooth )to coincide with the standard 94 tooth main gear..i wish to run a Stratos 14 x 3 turn motor and want this application to be as fast as i can without cooking the thing...just for some street fun....secondly , i would like to know a good ratio for racing with the Tamiya 540 j Silver can motor....i dont mind changing the main gear if i have to ( as i expect that i will ?) i would like to race in the 540 standard class for now... i also see someone is havimg problems with the diffs breaking, and has said to loosen up the drive belts to prevent this...? Any advice for this car as far as setup , troubleshooting is much appreciated....
