If the engine has any pinch left then when you rotate the crank the piston will push the sleeve up when the head is taken off.

Take the end cap off then put the piston up near the top and use a piece of plastic from a parts tree and push it out from the bottom of the sleeve.

Is there rust on the crank pin where the rod ride on it? If not just clean it up and it should be fine.

That's what I thought it was. If that engine runs it's pretty fast.

It should be close to a Novarossi 221ps. At one time I was running the HPI crank with the internals from a NovaMega EVO2. Any of the Nova rods should fit.
