Exclamation HELP?!?! Need Advice!!!

I own a RC10GT RTR with the .15 engine and in my quest for more speed, i removed the carb restricter that came with the engine from the factory. Now the engine seems to be running at higher RPM's, will I ruin my engine if i keep running it without the restricter?? Also since the restricter restricts some air and gas from entering engine, and when i take it out that would allow more air and gas to enter, so wouldn't i need to lean out the mixture? Thanks for your help.

You will need to retune the engine, because of the more air the engine is taking in.start with 2 1/2 turns out on the high end and I am preaty sure its 1 1/4 out on the low end. Sure someone else can help with the settings

You are right in that the engine can get more air. You may have to richen the mixture just a tad (mabee 1/12 of a turn) to compensate for the increase in air to the engine. The reason that the engine increases in rpm is that
1. It is easier for the engine to get air

2. the engine will lean itself out because of the increased air.
