Barry Baker Q&A

Data,
Thanks for the heads up on the reverse (left hand) threaded nuts, some of us here have been serching for them for awhile. I did find them on their site, but man $5.42 for one nut, and they're just plated steel! Anyway, thanks for the info.

By the way, McMaster sells a lot of hardwares that can be used on R/C. Body clips, screws, nut, exhaust coupling, just to name a few.

Maybe I'm not looking at the right size, here's what I was looking at:
Catalog page #2966
metric left-hand nuts - DIN934L
class 8 zinc-plated steel
P/N-93695A940
size-M30 (3.5mm pitch?)
pkg. qty.- 1
$5.42 ea.
Is this the right size, or am I grossly oversized? I thought the 3.5mm pitch was the size.

The Left nut doesn't know what the Right is doing!!
No left hand threaded nuts in M3.5 from McMaster Carr. Guess you guys are going to have to ask Barry about that one.

The SUPER DUTY turnbuckle is bigger and stronger than the original Punisher turnbuckle. We changed the diameter a little and punched up the thread size to 3.5mm. Primarily designed for gas trucks, we find it will fit most all 1/10th scale cars and trucks. It's the largest titanium turnbuckle for the popular T-MAXX.
this was off the lunsford web site.....

Yeah, I had a brain fart. I have "Punisher" stuck in my head from previous purchases from Lunsford. The oversize turnbuckles I buy from them now are" Super Duty's". And no, you don't need the back-up nuts with my set-up, I was just looking for the guy's still using the standard set-up. When I was at the Worlds one of the AE guys told me they had to have the nuts made, I thought I just saw recently on one of these threads that AE will start including them with the FT rear turnbuckles.?
