Fast drivers?? What are you talking about? Don't you think Chris, Josh, Ron, Joel, etc... are fast? Bertin didn't make it out of the "B" last year. Shimo did well last year but he had to bump from the B. He ended up close at the end but only because Mike had problems.

The Kyosho drivers at the race are among the best. I would not be surprised to see Kyosho win both classes tomorrow.

Sweet! So does that mean Bobby Flack bumps up to the 12th spot in the A?

Plus Kyosho has a pretty decent team there with Cyrul, Tosolini, Atomic and Johnson and they are 1st and 2nd in 1/8th qualifying so they don't seem to be lacking pace.
Correct me if I am wrong dosen't Josh work for orion also, and he is using another manufactor's engine! Even if his engine's weren't ready you would think since he is a kyosho driver he would be running a sirio sti engine.

And they signed Robert Pietsch who not only is a Worlds finalist but will design the car too:
http://www.redrc.net/2007/01/robert-...-for-shepherd/
"World Championship finalist and all round fast driver Robert Pietsch has left Mugen, a manufacturer he has raced with for many years, to work and race for Shepherd Racing. Shepherd racing took over the old Picco 1/8th scale car project a few years back and the car has only had minimum development since. Pietsch’s position at his new employer will involve designing and developing the car further as well as being its top team driver along with, son of Shepherd owner, Patrick Schäfer. We heard that issues over what engine Robert could run whilst racing last year for Mugen prompted his decision to move."

Well, I guess they also took over the graphic work Clever guys

Josh doesn't work for Team Orion, he is sponsored by them, Adrien actually works in the factory in Switzerland. And as Josh has commitments to his other sponsors like Kyosho, and if Team Orion cant supply the motor, he has to find himself an alternative power plant.

Collari is a Kyosho driver and he doesnt run Sirio either, its not an automatic thing to run both.

I'm not sure about Josh but Chris is driving an EVO with a RRR top deck/throttle servo.

I was pretty surprised by the number of guys that jumped to 22 laps yesterday.

At the end of round 4, only 7 had made 22 laps.

At end end of round 5, 2 had gone to 23 laps, 5 stayed at 22 and 10 more guys made 22 laps (including Jilles).

Of the 5 that did not make 23 laps

- Josh Cyrul almost made 23 laps (missed it by just 1.75 seconds)
- Danny Horta improved his time by 8.46 seconds
- Martin Christensen improved his time by 6.07
- Chris Tosolini did not make 5 minutes
- Barry Baker did not make 5 minutes

I guess my question is, was the traction that much better during round 5 or did the guys who made the jump to 23/22 laps finally find the right setup and/or just push their car that much harder??

I bet it was traction..............I noticed a lot of the 1/8th fastest times for each guy was round 5 as well.

Someone posted the "Gag Reel", great movie by the way, If you watch it you can see all the cars are loose... No traction....They looked like drift cars...
