Default xxx4 outdrives

Why is the front outdrive set moulded composite and the rear metal, on my first run I busted the right front (probably my fault) but is there anything keeping me from using a rear set in the front?

you can run the metal outdrives in the front, but the effect that the throttle has on "in-flight attitude" will increase due to the extra mass.

i've run the plastics in front and preferred the feel, but like you pointed out, they are more fragile. i run a metal front now and it's not soo bad.

Thats interesting to know. My skills arent that advanced to realise that though. So I may convert to the metal diffs. Does anyone Know a good online store other than Losi parts house, not that I have a problem with them, they gave me good service, just wondering if there are any places that sell aftermarket hop ups. Thanks

horizonhobby.com owns Losi and I have had very good luck with them on orders. They are not cheap on prices like tower but if you want losi parts they are the people. The newest plastic outdrives have metal rings to keep the outdrive from separating. 4wdrc.com has some outdrive savers that completely cover the plastic outdrive to make them tougher. I would probably opt for metal.

I always have my local hobby shop order in the parts for me, it is way cheaper then paying shipping charges, especially on one or 2 items, and all Losi stuff. You can occasionally catch a super buy on ebay, but you have to pay close attention, and know when you are making a good deal ( shipping charges on top of purchase price)
