Default home made battery case ?
I am wondering if anyone made there own battery case if so what type of foam did you use if you used any. Also does anyone know where to get the gray foam that is in most cases?

DuBro sells foam rubber that works great. It absorbs vibration well, and you can get it in different thicknesses. Any hobby shop should carry it.

The only thing I saw was 1/4 and 1/2 inch is there any thicker?

Check out camera shops etc, you're looking for "non-conductive" foam, that stuff is usually found in those cases that carry "secret" stuff, LOL.
