TC4 or XRay T2

I am making the move from off road to on road. I will be racing on a tight carpet track and would like the opinion of everyone wether they would get the TC4 factory edition by team associated or the XRay T2, and please no choice C. In other words if you had to choose between these two cars, which one would you take and why?

I would wait till the end of October as the New T2'007 will be out...
It is Carpet domination...
If you are racing Foam tire order the US carpet spec T2'007
If you are racing Rubber than order the UK asphalt T2'007
The TC4 is OK but even AE is gettitng ready to put out a Belt drive car pretty soon..I heard near Xmas time...(please don't quote me)

Hope that helps,

If you are racing stock or spec 19 you will be fine with the ft tc4, and they are only $199.99 from teamassociated.com, pretty good price. If you are racing mod then definately wait for the t2 007. I only run stock and spec 19 so I use the ft tc4. I beat my fair share of fk05's and t2's, but I do lose to a couple of them as well. However the guys I lose to are just better drivers so it wouldn't matter if I had a t2 or not. I don't think that the associated belt drive will be out till middle of next year. Anyways, have fun with whatever car you decide on.

Default I would get a....

T2. You have more options with the T2. Everything from rubbers on carpet to high traction carpet with only a CRC upper deck. It's a great all around car.

Mr. Shookie, why the move from Corrally? I noticed a while back you moved to the Xray camp. Just curious?

I actually sold all my on road gear about 5 or 6 months ago...
Than I got the bug again and thought I woudl try something new....
I made a good choice...
I have nothing but good things to say about the Corally RDX...I just wanted to try something else.

While shaft is concidered a more effective drive for the lower turn classes, you should also look at build quality from both makes.
In my books the xray is superior and the materials used can take a real knock which in-turn will reduce your spares.
Xray all the way.

To my eye, the big reason to buy the FT TC4 is that you can buy two FT TC4's for the price of one T2. If saving that money ($180) isn't a big priority for you, it's hard to find reasons to go TC4.

Default Get the Associated Car

I own a FT TC4 and it is a great car. The XRay is good too, but my track offers more associated parts. If I were you, I would wait to get the new associated belt car (or TC5). It looks really fast and its an associated so you know it'll be fast.

Spanky, I would also consider the T2R, as it is available now, and only US$200, so probably around half the price of a T2'007, with most of the goodies. does anyone know how much the 007 will be, and what the differences will be?

good choice to go for an xray, I have had 3 Xrays and 1 FT TC4.... XRay is the pick...

Spanky, be sure to start a new thread comparing your RDX experiences to your T2 experiences. Many of us are interested. So many cars, but limited time and money.
