70wt in the rear would make it Bounce like a m o f o no matter What piston you ran...X2 on the no bottoming out issue....these cars are Designed to chassy slap......and from personal experience ive found losi's are REAL sensitive to proper ride height adjustment...if its 3-4mm's out the car's will act totally different.

You maybe right
I have noticed this with the E8
About the 70 wt I had it with my nitro 8 and it was ok
didnt want to use it in the E8, I want to know why my shocks feel softer and bouncy than the RC8
I seem to have slower times with the E8 compared to my RC8, and I think it is the softer setup thats slowing me down
thanks

You know I was just thinking about the chassis slap. Has anyone tried some fuel tubing on the shock shaft to keep it 3-4mm off the ground at full compresion? I know it's really no big deal to bottom out, but it could keep chassis wear down a tad and maybe prevent a little scrubing of speed. Especially on the front when you take a big jump.

gotcha....and on the limiting thing.....look at any action pic of the losi on a bumpy track...constantly using its Full travel.....take that away and who know's what the handleing will be like.

Y'all are confused about the purpose of the shocks. Their main function is to keep the tire patch in contact with the ground as much as possible, 'cause if you ain't putting the power down and carrying speed out of the corners, you ain't winning. Jumping is secondary.

+1 to what Integra said. I got to race mine for the 2nd time last weekend and made a 1mm ride height change fromt and rear, huge difference. The car is really precise, pay attention to ride height, droop settings, etc. Also, be sure the suspension moves freely, ream the hinge pin holes a little if you have to. And if you're not building the shocks with full rebound, I'd recommend it.

X2 on the rebound.....makes the ride height measurements a little more accurate imo....and be repetitive on how u test and adjust the height....and make sure to have at least 1/2 a tank of fuel and the shell ON.

I've been running my shocks 0 rebound. I'll definetly have to pump em up... probably a better solution than limiting the travel

Pretty much it, you just want to be sure that you can compress the shaft all the way in without too much resistance also.

that is basically the key.....1 thing i notice guys doing is leaving the blatter in the cap....big no no....that wont allow you to properly ensure the shock is 100% full.....1 trick i have to getting them Unstuck from the cap without tearing/Poking it to death....is use your compressor.....a little toot on i side and it should POP up a corner.....but basically make sure the body is 100% full.....i leave a corner up and let it spew out the side...seal it....wipe it....cap it.....and my shocks almost always have near 100%....and like cjtamu said....make sure there's not too much resistance at full compression or you'll start blowing out the seal's and leaking oil.

Hey guys, I have the losi adjustable pin brace set......I installed the inserts for 3 degrees rear toe-in but when I put it on a set-up station, it reads 2 degrees. I remember reading that the sheet that Losi provides is slightly off. Does anybody have the correct insert set-up info? THANKS!
