im running the os speed engine in my buggy and just picked up a rb c6bbt7 for my 8ight truggy. side by side i would say the speed revs higher and runs smoother throughout the entire rpm range. the c6 is wicked on the bottom and gets the large truggy moving quickly out of corners. for the money the c6 is the best motor ever. i got it for 449 with the 2045 pipe. its more engine than any buggy will ever need and suits truggys to a T. cant wait to find out which one lasts the longest. also the c6 only runs for like 7 min per tank. the speed i can get almost 10. not sure if its because the weight difference between buggy and truggy or not.

I hear the new RB motor's are awsome. I haven't seen one run yet but everyone raves about them. Good luck with it!

RB makes great motors, I've been impressed with them since my on road days. Fast, reliable, and did I say FAST!

Edit, except for the .21 3-port econo motor for 1/8 scale buggies. That thing was a pig, with no balls. A friend bought one expecting it to at least hang with my Rex 3 port...no comparison, we couldn't get it to do much of anything....my VG is faster...lol

I'm also runing 5,5,2 but I corrected alot of on power push by changing the rear anti-squat plate with a 2-2, or a 2-3. At our track orange Ofna foams with m3 Crime Fighters seem to be the ticket!

I'm just getting into this hobby, I was trying to tell the how to adjust the droop, versus the ride height. It seems as though it is the same nut on the threaded shaft. Please explain the diffrence, I'm sure that I'm making it alot harder than it is. So far I really like my RTR 8. Thanks for any help.

Ride height is indeed set by the threaded collars on your shock bodies. Droop is set by the set screws on the chasis side of the a-arms.

Do you really run it with 7000 in rear? If so does it feel tight? or alot of tension?

With 7k in the rear the ass end will be almost locked. It will launch straght but spin out in the corners.

Then why don't any of the pros ever run this set up? I'm sure they've tried it. I tried 3k in the rear and that didn't work, I can't even imagine 7k.

Trebor,Air8 and I use bacon grease.! Not only does it work good, I smells great when the diffs heat up.

i have been having glitching issue's this weekend. My 8ight has not ran away on me at full throttle. but it seems to just blip the throttle go to idle and then it blips the throttle again. then it will act fine for another tank or two. it worked fine for me up until i changed the throttle servo. i had a airtronics 358 in it (now the steering servo in my 8ight t ) and it now has a futaba 9350. i am also using spectrum in my m11 radio. i have also noticed that the carb barrel on my v spec is getting a little gummy but its still moves well. i have run this buggy for quite a while now and have never had any issues like this. do you guys have any suggestions thanks.

In my experience inconsistent glitching issues like yours are usually track down to a loose/bad epectrical connection. So check your Rx battery and make sure the bars/connections on it are sturdy. Then all the wires/plugs are "right". If still not fixed, try a new/different receiver.
