Does anyone or has anyone tried GRP-Atomiks for tires? I was told these were the HOT tires to run. Any info would be nice. Thanks.

I think some of you guys use the DX3, do you use rechargable batteries? I was thinking of using a rechargable batteries and connect the radio to my charger. The charger I have is Hobbico Accu-Cycle Elite Battery Cycler. Is this possible?

I think I answered my own question. I spoke with Horizon Hobby and they said I could use the charge jack that I used for my Futaba 9Cap, but just reverse the polarity and I can use loose cells. Put the loose cells in the holder that they give you. I am a happy camper now!!

Mann Edge get the Jr wall wart charger. Then when you get it take some side cutters and give the end you plug in a slight crimp. Then rotate it 90 degrees and give it another crimp about 3mm further out. That way you are making a good connection. I use a Dynamite wall charger and it works really good. The crimping just makes sure you make good contact.

Freefallmarine, I use the extended hexes 2mm that I kept from my old Mugen MBX5R when the car feels tippy or too planted. That was the first thing I noticed when running this car. It is very stuck and adding the hexes makes it feel alot more stable and you can drive it a little harder. I had three sets and sold two of them at the gas champs at CRCRC this winter, both to Losi drivers...

freefallmarine- I will be using the mugen wheel hexes also, my buddy is the one that told me to. And if he says too, then he is usually right, knows alot about the hobby.

Has anyone tried the GRP-Atomiks?

That's a question better asked of people who have used them at your track under your track's conditons.

Trebor (or Robert...whatever)

I have used the Atomics at RCE, Rte 106, and ETMR and they work very well at all three. They will work better on a more loamy track than RCE but still do quite well there.

Tires for Massachusetts Tracks:

ETMR: Panther K2's, GRP Atomics, Crimefighters or Bowties (m3) when it dries.

RCE: Crimefighters M2 (or M3 when it dries), Atomics on a fresh track layout, (Cubics if you have a ton of $$$ to spare)

Rte 106 (new Hampshire): Panther K2's (extra soft), Atomics worked awesome here in the main (which was at about 9pm in October = cold/damp)

The lipo will definitely get ya enough power! I run a 2600mah pack and it runs my 9000t and 9000s servos for a whole day of racing (about 5 hours at the track)
Where did you find 2600mha lipoli packs and how much current are they capable of delivering at what voltage?

There are some really fast guys out there using the Mugen hex extension adapters. Like I said above I sold 2 of my 3 sets at Columbus at the gas champs. One set went to Chris King, owner of King Headz, the other to a guy sponsored by Losi. You can mix match them, like run 2mm in the front but stay stock in the rear. Sometimes helps maintain rear side bite for ya. And if 2mm is too much all around, try the 1mms. They are like $7 for a package of 2 on Amains site...
