so
So are the o-rings you are talking about putting on the servo isen't it the same as putting rubber grommets on the servo?

losi8ight- you take 2 of the orange orings from a 10th scale shock. and put the 2 inbetween the chassis and radio box on the screw that goes into where the battery sits. however, you need a screw that is as long as the ones that hold the front and rear clips on the car. also, you only want to screw the screw in to be flush with the hole inside the battery box.

turbine - To do what I was referring to, only the screw that threads into the bottom of the battery box is where you put the o-rings.
JP4 - Sorry to hear that! I do think that these new measures taken to reduce vibration will help.
RBMike - Sorry I spoke too soon with the PM, but that's the most recent news.
J. Wright - I hadn't heard yet about the o-rings on the servo mounts. That should help with vibration, but flex isn't a problem.

JP4 - That's not the first time I've heard that. Like 12a said, they all seem to stop working again very shortly.
scr_achy - I have no idea. I don't know what they are going to change, or how they plan on offering an update. I don't know a time frame for the change, either.
Basically, I'm no help, haha. But I will let you know when I find out more information.
Justin - I have some of those on the way (at least, I think it's the same company).

Do all the 8ight shocks leak? Is there any upgrade to keep the shocks form leaking? (TKO o rings)?
Also has anyone had their shocks come apart? the screw that holds the piston to the shaft backed out.....

Check your shock shafts, unless they are just about perfect, they'll leak. Mine were fine for a few months before they leaked. I replaced the shafts and seals(original Losi o-rings), and now they don't. I've seen the TKO o-rings work, and I have a set for the next time I rebuild mine.
Yes, several people have had the shock piston come off. The trick I found was to lock-tite it, and let it dry for a while before you build the shock. I let mine dry overnight the first time I built the car, and mine never came apart.

My buddy took out his TKO O-rings as they caused the shocks to bind.

Put some green slime on the O-rings when you build the shock & they work fine. They do require maintainance regularly.
