TEAM WAVE Lightning Discharger V2 !
#61
The only difference of v2.1 over v2.0 is the use of thicker battery clip. Since some people say that the battery clip is too soft, we decided to make it harder in version v2.1. People who like softer clip can bend the clip a bit backward.

Hi Teamwave
Is there any way to bring back the Lightening V1 after it is connected to PSU by wrong way

Opp...I am sorry that you have reverse the power supply of the V1, we don't repair V1 any more since it is out of service. Try to get the V2, it has reverse power protection and other great features and I am sure you will love it.

Hi Teamwave,
I have just bought a V2. Some of my cells are assembled in one orientation, and some in the other. This Means I cannot fit some packs into the holder due to the corally tubes being on the underside, if i put them in the correct orientation. Anybody got any ideas?
I dont really want to reassemble most of my packs.
Thanks
Ross

Hi Jason,
Sorry didnt explain myself properly.
That is the problem. I have to flip the packs upside down to get the polarity right, but that leaves me with the corally tubes underneath, so the pack doesnt sit right, and doesnt make contact.
Thanks
Ross

Hi b3buggy,
I understand your problem. You have two types of batteries which are in opposite direction, right? The solution we suggest is to cut the top plate a bit such that your battery connecting tube and bar can sink to the PCB underneath the top plate. Beware that you need to move your connecting tube a bit inward such that it won't touch any exposed soldering joint on the PCB.

Hi Gymbeam,
Dont mind really. I dont want to comprimise the cell configuration just because of a discharger.
I came up with a differnt approach. See pics. Wasnt too keen on the clips either.
What you think?
