Xray T2'007

Drove my 007 first time yesterday....after 2minutes i broke a bearing to the layshaft

I've also had a couple Xray bearings go south on me. Did you clean and re-oil them before you built the car? I think Xray posted on the site a while back that the bearings didn't get packaged with sufficient lube and recommended that you clean and re-oil them to make sure they last...

Noob: I will find this out for us, i assume the same thing but dont know for sure.
ff01: yes this was a problem in a batch of kits, they did catch the problem and post a bulliten about it but obviously its not your fault. re oil the rest of the bearings in the car. and if you pm me i will make sure you get another bearing. Thanks paul

It may have been just the first batch of kits that had this issue. I have had my 007 since they came out so that was probably the problem I had. Knowing Xray they did fix the problem once they found out something was wrong.

after the bearing broke i re-oiled the rest of bearings.
i drived it an hour now without problem
//thanks Peter

I didnt know about that problem when I built my kit, but I always clean and oil the bearings before installing them, you never know how long they have been on the shelf. I am starting to think the powers that be are out to get me though, I did all the proper chassis prep, first run a big chunk of the chassis falls off. Ok I CA glue the exposed CF, temperary fix for the Race for Grace in 4 days, then my brand new VFS-1 Comp 2 takes a dump on me, maybe I wasnt meant to drive again

I know that the bearing issue was taken care of but not before a batch of kits were already sent off. Xray would never continue to use those bearings in kits knowing that some would fail.

Do you guys know if the Orion 3200mah carbon li-po will fit in the T2 '007?
Right now I got the platnium 4800mah in it but I have to stand it up on the chassis because it doesn't fit under the top deck ( I refuse to mod the top deck), It looks absolutely retarded taped like this!
Nexus racing says you can fit the Carbon 3200 pack by notching a divot into the pack to clear the layshaft bulkhead. Is that safe? I am afraid to dremel the Li-po case!
