Default News

Well, guys and gals alot has happen in the last 2 days.

1. TT and JLap have had several LOOOONG discussions about the software problems. Here's what happened, JLap has of course appologized for the continued problems, but wants our business, and also wants to make it up to the racers as well so:

a) They gave TT every upgrade to the software available. One important upgrade is the network function which allows us to have multiple PC running the software (saftey)
b) we can now print race numbers with your names on them? Cool, but not that important. There are some other stuff, but it's more related to club management.
c) For you, we are now considered a "BETA" club for life. This means that we now have Direct input on what changes are made to the software!

Our part in this was agreeing to have a PC just for the races, and installing a clean copy of the software from their CD. So, I am building a brand new PC this week...

Also, I received a letter from the School District stating that I have to have insurance by July 13th (thanks Howard for the jinks)

So I am in the process of joining NORRCA, to get insurance...

Trailor got a new coat of white, and is now being painted by a young artist we know...

Air Nate has started something I'd like to continue... Video, so bring your cameras, If you need me to bring video tape, email me with type you need... If your running Digital Video, I have a firewire cable for uploading to my laptop.

Finally, my PC will be down for the rest of the day, so I won't get emails until tomorrow.

J.L. the owner of JLap said he is confident that with the new PC and clean software (not downloaded), we will no-longer have any peoblems. I know we have heard it before, but atleast now he has put his money were his mouth is...

Last Finally, those planning to go to the Hitec race in Poway, we are emtying the trailor and setting up a Team Titus pit area, you are welcome to pit with us. We will have atleast 1 generator ( probably 2-3), tents, the grill, plenty of tables and the trailor to work out of.

Chris Crash... good to hear the news about JLap working with you on the issue...

Last race was my first time there, and i gotta admit i had a great time.. The qual heats were on schedule, with the exception of a couple of delays. The lady in the computer did a wonderful job at requesting turn marshalls to report for duty, time to race start, racing order, race finish, though she needs a lil help with final lap time. (1 million5 hundred thousand, yada yada yada) ????what, huh???? , but she did pronounce me name correctly, so all is forgiven..

Just wish she didn't get tempermental when the mains rolled around...but it looks like you getting that straight...

one request....earlier start...big crew coming from the SanDiego area would greatly appreciate it. It only takes me 45minutes, but i live in northen part of SD county, the rest of the crew has at least another 45min more commute.
