New Corally Touring Car At Nurnberg
#106
Guys,
The original car (proto 1 & 2) will be able to place the motor direct to diff or to the pulley with a second belt.
That's what is possible with the "box-stock" kits.
This car shown and raced at the LRP race is another proto with the motor even further to the front. For extra testing of parts!
This is another motor mount and chassis as in the before mentioned kits!

NEWS FLASH ......

Here's the top 10 off the LRP's web site:
1 Levänen, Juho Finnland Associated TC3
2 Andersson, Jonas Schweden Yokomo SD
3 Ahoniemi, Simo Finnland Corally
Assassin
4 Gröschel, Benni RCC Köngen e.V.
5 Chaidejsurija, Surikarn Thailand
6 Drescher, Craig England
7 Spashett, David England
8 Baker, Barry USA
9 Graversen, Steen Dänemark
10 Suzuki, Kiyokazu Japan
LRP Web site
To answer a question from above, the Assassin will come with both belt versions in the Masters kit. The reason you see the two belt version is that Corally Drivers prefer the two belt set-up for Modified class and the Single Belt for Stock racing. The pictures above are the latest pictures taken. I have been told to keep an eye on the Corally web site, they will be posting pictures some time in the next few days. The release date as stated before is still expected to be late April early May.... Wherever you are located you might want to make a pre-order with your local Hobby Shop or Distributor.

Looks like first batch of cars will be dual config option with the motor back and then after the initial release the version as raced by Simo at LRP as a conversion kit or full kit will become available.
Also they said that many option parts will be produced to keep us all happy and interested which is great news.... :-)

Back to the front.....
Hey did anyone take notice of the outstanding marketing effort at the race venue. I wish a complete marketing effort could be put into some of these big race events to promote the sport.

Question:
The last Corally I raced (SP12G) required them special "long" pinions.
Will the Assassin also require special "Holland" pinions or would I be able to use my stock of "American" pinions?

Last weekend at the nationals, Constant brought the Assassin with him.
I allready had seen the Proto first.
But only now saw the near production car.
Well everytime I've seen the car it has become more beautifull, and more profesional.
Man this thing is packed.
A simple thing I liked is the Foam bumper. It is made from a really good absorbing material. Thightly mounted between the bumper and top brace!
4 identical delrin arms that's also a nice feature.

The C4.1 has been around for about 3 years now. The original C4 and C4 AG have been around even longer. I am still running my C4.1. Although the design is starting to show it's age it can still be competitive. The new Assassin will give an advantage that we have not had for a long time.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention.
The drive train is sooooooooooosmoooooooooooooth.
(And that's even the dual belt I'm talking about)

Jeff,
I asked Constant last weekend if I could install my radio gear there and then. And give it a spin...
Strangely enough he said no, after a litlle while. LOL.
Well, like I mentioned before I also saw some stadia of develpment of this racer.
And it really grew/develloped into a beauty...

Pizzadude, I wanted to do it with the first prototype!!!! It was very hard to hand it back to him. Just think, I have raced my C4.1 since last year knowing what was to come. It made every little flaw that much bigger. But, here we are now just right around the turn from the release. I am ready........ Is the World?
