I have my belts setup really loose and they don't skip. I can't help but think that the sound heard on the car is not a skipping belt but something else not assembled correctly or broken.
And if you are putting enough tension on a belt to tweak a chassis (yikes), that belt isn't long for staying in one piece, at any speed.
There is definitely something else wrong that we're not grasping. Again, photos might help a bunch for diagnosing this issue.

+1 Duckstang...I've been running the R for over a year now and I have my belt setup with alot of slack (about 7-8mm of deflection) and I've NEVER had the belt skip on me. I'm not suggesting your not having a belt skip problem but you might want to recheck the front drivetrain for problems.
For those of you who are having trouble getting the car setup well I found that it was INCREDIBLY sensitive to droop. In my experience it was very important for me to get the droop equal from side to side and to get just the right amount of droop front and rear to get the car balanced from corner entry through corner exit. I'm no setup wizard and don't have a good explanation of why that is but that is definitely my experience.

I would love to have a couple of FlyingFox V2 spools, but they don't seem to be real interested in producing stuff anymore. Someday, Skyrocket Batteries will have parts again to sell, but until then, we're left to use the Losi stock spool setup (which isn't so bad in the first place).

Anyone know the dimensions of the O-rings inside of the shock adjusting nuts?
The stupidest thing... I just acquired a virtually new car as a backup chassis, and none of the shocks have the O-rings in them, so the shocks won't hold a setting. You have to wonder sometimes what people are thinking when they build a new kit, though it makes it easier to understand when they run it once, can't get it to "work" and turn around and sell it at a heavy loss.
I assumed incorrectly that they were the 10mm x 1mm O-rings used in the diff module, and they aren't. The only way they are available is in the A5319 pack with the adjuster nut, and I don't need to spend on that x2 just for 4 O-rings. Are they 10.5mm or 11mm x 1mm?
If someone has one loose still that they can mic out, or know of another brand of shock O-rings that would work, I would be very appreciative.
EDIT: Nevermind, I just took one apart and measured it. They are actually 14mm x 1mm O-rings. Now, I just have to find a source for them. The diff housing O-rings are 11mm x 1mm (not 10mm), for what it's worth.

hey, wondering if anyone has machined the rear bulkheads with inverted mounting tabs for the upper plate, to make way for taller lipos.
What i mean is the upper plate is screwed from bottom to top.
Someone able to machine that for me?

Wheel Offsets for RCGT
