Just one side of the pulley will suffice or its better to use the card pads on both sides?

I actually took a set of old diff rings and glued them to it on both sides on the pulley just like Adrian stated on the schuie thread

While we seem to be on the subject of spools, I did not get instructions with the spool pulley or in the manual. When I had the old car I put sandpaper discs in to "lock" the pulley. With the new pulley do I just replace the pulley and diff balls with the spool pulley? Leave in the rings/spacer etc? How tight is the spool supposed to be? I imagine a little slip would be good in a crash, but I don't know exactly how much force is applied to the pulley and don't want to melt the pulley from slippage.

You should not be able to slip it by hand easily. The pads are there to allow slip in a crash to protect the driveline, you just make it tight so it does not slip at all when you try to turn the wheels.

Has anybody found a 3S lipo that could fit into this car? I just got a Type-R under the impression that it can hold packs larger than a 6 subC pack. I figured it could hold my 162mm lipo 3S packs. I was wrong, so now I need smaller packs. It looks like the lipo tray for the Type-R is only 138mm, the same length as a subC pack. I really don't want to do 2S since my Mamba Max 5700 motor will turn too slow, and I don't want to switch motors.

I have a buddy that might be able to make some steel trays. A show of hands on how many need them and I can see about getting enough made at a price of course. That I don't know yet but I will now more later this week.
