Ah, cool, glad to hear it's an option. I'm guessing the aluminum knuckles up front are for the ackerman extensions we saw on Todd's car a while back?

syndrome- As for the EA3 material for TC racing, I have been running these arms on my sedans for neary a year and haven't broken one. I think their durability isn't an issue at all....as for LiPo's in the Type-R, PLEASE show me another chassis that is going to so EASILY accommodate this technology!

That's good to hear about the EA3. I've broken 6 "new" arms in the last two weeks of club racing, and I'm not a hack. We're talking very minor incidents like rubbing flappers when turning in too tight, not giant crashes. I don't expect a car to be indestructible, but some tiny semblance of durability would be nice.

Since I'm a dedicated brushless and LiPo racer, this car simply makes the most sense. I'll wait.

Okay, so... My club allows LiPo as long as we make weight. That means I have to add quite a bit, and one problem I see with this car is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of room in there to add the weight. Can anybody that's seen the car comment on how much room there will be? Ideally you'd keep the weight with or near the battery, and not outside that area, since it mitigates a lot of the advantage of having the weight centralized.

Well I just ordered the kit from Horizon, I was on a wait list from another vendor but I want to make sure I get one ASAP. If they both come in then I will just have to have two kits.

What needs to be made is a steel plate to replace the battery door, that way you can make weight but have it the lowest point of the car.

That's truly a fantastic idea. Hopefully Tamale or someone jumps on that, I have a feeling there's going to be plenty of people interested as this is THE most LiPo friendly car yet.

Tamale's butt! If I ever get one of these, I will try to get a steel or Stainless steel battery door done up for you guys. Just as soon as you can, post how much weight we are lacking with the lipo set-up.

I wish I hadn't sold all my scales!

Orion Carbon: 198g (6.6 oz.)
Orion Platinum: 258g (9.1 oz.)

You'd probably want the LiPo+plate to be a bit lighter than a 4200 so you can add just enough weight to keep you legal in case you're over a little bit due to BL gear, a heavy body or whatever. Plus, you'd be our hero!

Someone mind checking the weight on the 4200 for me?
