HPI makes a 4wd stadium truck...i used to have it...kinda sucked...but some may like hpi, i only like hpi for their rims and their bodies since most of them look pretty nice. there arent really any 4wd trucks out there from anyone except HPI. so HPI is your only bet...unless someone can prove me wrong

Schumacher makes a few 4wd stadium trucks . some are insanely fast , almost too fast for an offroad track .

Default 4wd trucks

also there are not roar legal to be raced at any big events. but your local track might let it be raced in novice class on club nights. i think hpi has gone to shaft drive in theirs from the chain drive, piece o shit they used to sell. the shumacher looks good but finding them here and finding parts may be hard. havent herad about a 1/10 hot bodies truck.

good luck, and if your just bashing its almost same cost to get a revo, its a much better out of the box truck than the other three and parts as very easy to get than the other three.

The pro version I think still has a deal you can get the engine for quite a reasonable price as well.

Does your friend want an electric truck or nitro truck? For electric, you may have to convert something. You can do this with an Academy SB and the truck parts. works out pretty well. You may be able to do this also with the SB V2 setup. If you go with the V1, make sure that you purchase the 74 tooth spur gear from the V2 so you get more gearing options and get the acratech motor mount.

Nitro 4wd 1/10 has a few more options, namely from GS and Hot bodies.

I would love to see a 1/10 4wd BL/LP Truck that is built like an 1/8.

All of this has been discussed in this thread already. http://www.rctech.net/forum/showthread.php?t=173482

Here are couple of the current trucks that were talk about converting to BL/LP.

http://www.hotbodiesonline.net/kit.p...=66501&lang=en

http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/carsand...ars/31097B.asp

This Kyosho has not officially been released, but it looks pretty nice.
there is another one that Is a buggy that I saw on A-main that mite be good as well but I can't find any real good pictures of it.
Here's the A-main link. http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ducts_id/18396

I would like to see all these in person, the Hot Bodies, and the Kyosho buggy for the price look like they would be cheap enough to try to convert, The Kyosho truck looks really good, I just hope it's not super expensive.

Ether way when I get some extra money, I'm going to try to convert one of these, and see if my local track will let me run it with the other 4wd elec. and maybe it will work great and some of the other guys will be willing to build one and start a class of it's own.

Contact Dave G. He should be able to give you the list. If you wanted a "Truggy" for now, just put on some RPM Traxxas offset rims. The hex should be the same as what the Academy buggy uses. You can truggy up your SB quite easily that way.

If you have some machining skill, to get it to 1/10 scale truck length dimensions I am assuming, you will want to machine a new graphite chassis and top deck. Also, get a longer center drive shaft. That would be about it then, the rest would be off the shelf for an SBV2 Pro conversion to Truck.

Look on the Academy SB V2 thread or GV2 thread. He is the product manager for MRC / Academy.
