TAMIYA TRF-501X - A SERIOUS 4WD!
TAMIYA finally is getting serious with regards to Off-Road Racing especially now that the IFMAR Off-Road Worlds will be held in Japan next year. At first glance the TRF-501X looks to have a number of similarities with the YOKOMO MR4-BX. It is belt driven, uses a saddle pack battery configuration, is decked out with a carbon fiber chassis and top deck, lots of blue aluminum bling, and incorporates a mid-motor placement design.

as you can probably tell I'm not big into Tamiya.... the last Tamiya kit I bought was back in 1983.... a Hot Shot which I still have in great condition. I'm just a 4WD fanatic and it is good to see the biggest RC company in the world get serious about 4WD Off-Road Racing!
