I recently got a used RTO, good condition, and i was wondering would it be worth it to convert it to a turbo plug? What kind of performance gain or loss could I expect? And which turbo plug should I use with 20-30% nitro?
Thanks Roy

I'm using .12 engines with conical plugs (I hesitate to call them 'Turbo') with 16% nitro. I'm starting to do some tests with different plugs, but what puzzles me is about the difference of the Cold and Warm plugs of the same number (let's say a #5 cold and a #5 warm).
For our actual temperatures (5 - 10ºC air temp) I'm using a #5 warm and when temp raise will go to a #6, but my real question is: Cold or Warm? What differences are on those plugs and if are advantageous to keep Cold and Warm models of the same number (#5Cold,#5Warm,#6Cold and #6Warm)?
Dennis and others, what you think? on my 1/8 on road ever use #7Cold and #8Cold....

To ride on this thread,
I'm thinking of getting a new engine, over here in S'pore, the a RB 5 port wld cost ard $60 bux more than the Nova 5 port.
Izzit worthwhile to get the Rb or shd I just save the $60 bux for other stuffs? Are the any difference between the 2 engines or izzit perhaps juz branding differences between the 2?

If price for a 310 is 60US$ higher than a RS12T5 I'll pick the Novarrosi, but if the 60US$ higher is for the 315 I'll pick the RB blindly. Is a real spanker for the competition

Don't get me wrong, but information about nitro engines are plenty if you want to do a little search, not only limited to this thread. Only you need is some need of information.

The RB in question is the 310. Here in S'pore US$1 = S$1.70, so the RB's ard 35 bux more expensive than the Nova S5. The RB's here are ard S$370. We hardly ever buy through the web coz S'pore's juz so small, most LHS are easily accessible.
I'm asking this question coz currently me and a couple of frens are running the RS12s but I got a pal here running a pretty old beat up RB 3 port X12 (still lotsa compression after 2 yrs of abuse) that came stock wif his Serpent which is putting out so much more power than ours. So all along, I thot RBS are slightly modded Novas coz they came at a premium over the Novas.
