Brock: Did you get a .12 or a .21? Guess who were at Antioch
today testing their MUGEN MTX-2s on foams in preparation
for RCCAR?

John: Whats up? I got an RB .12 RTU, I have to break it in tommorow, any suggestions for break in? God I have some much to do tommorow and so little time to do it. I never got an 1/8th scale car, I'm sticking with 1/10th scale.... it's still a ton of fun and really competitive. Although I did get an NTC3 from Associated ( yeah i know.... LOL) that I will be trying this sunday along with my Mugen. Let me guess.... you and York were out there today? Gosh you two are crazy haha!! I would of gone if it weren't so far and if I didn't have school. How were the cars working for you guys? I'll probably be a bit rusty since I haven't raced since about november. See you sunday! Later

Brock: Dennis hand laps the piston/sleeve and does a basic
break in...to check it, install a flywheel on the crankshaft and
rotate to top dead center...it should stick slightly, but nothing
like a new stock engine...if it feels this way, then all that you
will have to do is run a tank or so to feel it out. I have run 3
RTUs and in each case I warmed them up and ran the stuffing
out of them from the get go...
BTW...Swauger and Jimmy D were testing today at Antioch...
Jimmy was running a Lola body and Swauger was running a
sedan body on their Mugens...that's right...Jimmy is a Mugen man!
I will be racing at Antioch this Sunday as it is my regular race
day there (2nd and 4th Sundays)...I will run the first points race
in March (7th)...that will be York's first RCCAR race as he has
a business meeting down in L.A. this weekend.
Have fun with the NTC3...I think it is a killer sedan car. I
think we will see a lot of them at Castle this year. From what
I hear through the grapevine...there should be at least 6
Richey RTUs running in sedans in the Bay Area this year!

John: Thanks for the break-in advice! I had my glow ignitor and temp gun ran over by my dad today At least I got to do 5 tanks, it sounds like that's enough for the RTU. So is Jimmy sponsored by Mugen? I never knew Swauger raced up here, is he racing at Delta sunday? Good luck at Delta tommorow. See ya! Later

I ran in my MT12 RTU G2 today. I was very impressed with the machine work Dennis. I ran about 5 tanks in the started box at low to mid RPM. The outside temp was about 45. I used an RB6, Odon 30. On the last tank the outside temp dropped to about 30 and I started to lean it in abit. On both the top and the bottom, the performance did not pick up with leaning it in. Was it because it was cold? I have zero experience running engines in temps less than 60.

i was wondering what fuel you recommended, as well as what after run oil if any for a .12 (os tr) enginge. also i know you were saying you probably wouldnt mod them, however do you think you will change your mind by april/may (Since thats when our outdoor season starts in new england)
