This is the actual truggy, not the conversion. Its got the long arm suspension and other refinements that the MBX-5 conversion doesnt have.

A local guy races 4 mugen said that mugen actualy did their home work on the truck and this is all you will need. He says it is just as bullet proof and wears just as well as the mbx-5 pro spec. If you recall the mbx-5 was updated because people were running the new parts form other companies on the buggy. The new truck is suposed to come w/ all the goodies that currently exist. If there are enough updates to the truck then I'm sure a new kit will become available, untill then this is the hot ticket. If you take a good look at it, those aren't ball cup braces like on the original buggy. Those towers are suposed to be machined, and the buggy is suposed to be hour long main race ready.

The Mugen guys were out at Revelation last night with the truggy. They didn't race it, but they were out running practice. Some friends of mine that run truggy class were checking it out in the pits and on the track and they couldn't stop talking about how dialed it was.

Hey Madjack...where do you race?

most often at Rev...however I shelved the buggy over the last 2 months and been practicing at Tamiya for the TCS Regionals/Nats...will return after that. (want to finish better than last year )

(last off road race was the Proline Maxx Challenge)

I might run TCS next weekend. I need some new t-shirts.

Lemme know when you come back to Rev...you run a Mugen, right? There are usually a bunch of us Corona folk there, you can pit with us...

You going to buy the truggy when it comes out?

The new truggy is nice...but there's some other news:

1. The truck will ship with proline crimefighters and offset velocities.

2. There will be a prospec...its just a blingy version of an already blingy truck.

3. The red springs are just for show.

Spoke with Mugen USA today. It appears the they will be shipping 3 version of the truck:

Stardard MBX5T
MBX5T Prospec
MBX5T Prospec with motor & pipe.

Delivery should be within the next 3 weeks.

Any one know where and when I is the soonest I can buy won of these new Mugen truggies? I been reluctant to buy the conversion for the buggy. Now that I see Mugen is actually making a truggy I am excited!
