Look guys. It's not really my place to give out the date. I did just speak with Jim from Tekin. We were talking specs of the system and what not. I do know that the esc is going to be small like the Gtb. I'm also hearing that no fan will be needed and that the motors are different then others out right now. We were talking about gearing and the wide range that the motors are providing... This is great news since they almost have the same feel and speed from the lower motor as the one above it. I'm really stoked. Look for this to be coming around time for the Vegas TC race next month...

What a wonderful world it would be if all we had to do is design a new sticker and put it on someone elses product. Then I might not have to work 7/24 and have a desk piled with component specs, schematics, prototypes, packaging, manuals, molded housings and pages and pages of software that gives me a headache. Designing a new product is challenging and enjoyable as an engineer. Building thousands is another set of challenges that I enjoy a lot less…

Blah, blah, blah to all the petty jabs. We are here for the long haul and not a quick score. Our reputation for leading edge, quality product is earned over many years and we intend to continue that tradition. Regardless of how impatient customers are we are going to do what is best for Tekin and the loyal Tekin customers long term.

There is a lot to the statement “Sometimes you have to shoot the engineer and sell the darn product”. We are there…. The unit works great and now we just have to build them. Unfortunately there is not a lot we can do when key components become unavailable and the replacements are 12 to 14 weeks out for volume deliveries. We are building enough units for our final testing and Team drivers currently. Large quantities for public distribution should be ready in Dec.

No one is more tweaked than me about the delays.. I am paying the bills. In the end the timing is going to work out really well for us from a business standpoint and our customers will be smiling from ear to ear for many years to come.

On the lighter side the Rage recently Tq’d and won the mod buggy and mod truck at our local offroad track and broke the track record at the local carpet track. Oh and the new component that delayed us also allowed us to shrink the unit considerably.. which changed the housing mold that also takes 10 to 12 weeks.

Default No problem with me

I have no problem waiting for a quality product . At least I know my hard earned money is going toward something that will out preform and out last other brands on the market.

Yes, We have a whole new website just about ready. Expect a lot more promo from Tekin as we release all the new products.

Rage ran in the Idaho state championships last weekend and although it appears I suck the unit was excellent.

How refreshing it is to have the president of a company tell it like it is. This text reads like it was written by somebody that I would buy expensive stuff from. Let me know when the system is close to delivery, my Novak stuff will be for sale.

I was seriously shocked when I first pulled the trigger on those runs. To say that it was stupid fast is an understatement! I was laughing my ass off after a few minutes because it was just too entertaining having that kind of power on tap. Half thorttle as like 35-40 or so...yank the rest of the throttle and watch it wheelie or light up the tires....

If electric is truly going to go brushless and Lipo then we are all going to have more then enough power...bring on the 20 minute mains!

Better is a judgement call.. CC makes very good stuff so it really comes down to features, appeal and feel. I will tell you it will be a lot smaller and focused at the racers while they are really targeting the bashers and people that want to get really crazy with 3s lipo or lots of cells. In the end they may get richer.. but we will be famous!

2S lipo is pretty awesome... but it was not silver... We just were not ready to tell you yet that it was all Tekin.... Cats out of the bag and he better be fast because this system can run down about anything.

Look to see our brushless and our Lipo running in the 24hr guiness book of records race at Seattle Indoor Raceway way next month. There we may find out who squeaks by and who can lean on it all day....

Eric,
The new system has been going through alot of test and set to release in early December(Latest Date Spoke Of).New cases and some internals is the reason for the release date.
Motor's are working great and no changes there it looks like.Everyone that has tested them have been truly impressed with the system overall. This comes from guys that have tried 3-4 OTHER systems.

Website is due sometime this month if all works out.Trying to get the site up with all the races inbetween and the finish of some new product is tricky.

Again along with the quality of the product they also wanna bring a quality website for all.Racers and Bashers.

Goodluck Racing Eric and Im sure someone will keep you posted.

Les
