If anyone is interested in trading a nice and little use str 4 pro II oneway that will work for a SBV2 for your standard SBV2 dif let me know. I am racing touring carpet and in need of a standard diff ASAP ASAP ASAP!!!!!. Nationals and other races are approaching FAST and by me changing from my oneway and now back again to foam tires, I need to get everything consistant again. I have yet to find a SBV2 standard dif ( not a oneway ) and refuse to buy a SBV2 full kit just to run a front dif in my str 4 pro II touring car.

Thanks

Hey guys, been busy with builders lately, and a never ending flood of email, which is cleared now, and you should be able to get through.
Time for some more racing.

The new carbon fiber shock towers are now available.

Part# for the front is 98P T006
Part# for the rear is 98P T007

GLEN BEAN from Enid, Oklahoma has been using these with very good results. Glen has been racing with Billy Easton on a weekly basis. Expect to see some more feedback from him in the next few days.

I think it might be useful who don't know which part number you should get.
This is Korean, but it has pics and part number. Might be useful.

Hey gang. Just want to say thanks to Dave G. and all the people at MRC Academy for all the help and support.

Ive been working on getting a setup laid down for the sedan on a semi-highbite polished concrete track. Im in the ballpark with it, just need a few more runs to figure out what the car likes and get it even better.

Car is easy to work on and a blast to drive. So far the only thing I can recomend doing is grinding down the rear hubs where the ballstud mounts. This will lower the ballstud and allow for more fine tuning as in its original shape the ballstud is way too high.

Im also running a pro4 spool in the front. Only thing needed to make it fit is to grind the bearing stops down about .005'' to allow it to drop right in the tranny case.

I have many other things to try on the car, and will report back with what i found that works. I can also email a few setups that I have found to be a good starting point if anyone is interested.

Default Hey beeanner

Hey beeanner,
Want to welcome you aboard! I have plans once I get this new STR II chassis and front dif in to come down and say hi! I'm right above you in St. Louis, MO.
If you could? drop me what your running on the surface and I'll grab some things I'll need to join up with you maybe on a few weekends. I take it your running rubber correct? I have a bunch of take offs I can run if the case. I could not imagine foams<LOL>.... Anyhow, finally got time to log in after a busy past 2 months.

Once again welcome!!!

Team Academy,

As of right now im running this as a basic setup:

front - 35wt with 3 hole pistons, dk green Academy spring. #1 camber link on front tower. Shock pos 2-b, 5 deg castor, no kick up. 5mm droop. 5mm ride height

rear - 35wt oil with 3 hole pistons, light green Academy spings. camber pos 3-A. Shock pos 2-B. 2 degree toe in, 2 degree anti-squat 5mm droop, 5mm ride height.

Modified HPI front spool, Takeoff CS-32 premounts. Protoform Dodge Stratus all purpose.

Havent had much time to run touring car lately, been gearing up for some big offroad races. Give that setup a try though and let me know what you think. I will be running alot ot sedan after the first of November so come on down and say hello!
