oze, wow, that is narrow!! Too narrow! IMHO
Yeah you do need some spacers really. Trouble is, 7mm (internal) spacers don't seem all that easy to find. I am lucky in that i had some that Corally used to provide with the 12M wider axle - so i use these. I also use flanged axle bearings, this makes it a little wider due just to the flange!! and also stops the bearing getting punched through the bearing holder in a big crash. My car measures around 171 with Parma wheels and about 0.6mm wider when using GRP wheels.
Although i said 7mm spacers aren't easy to find - i do know that Calandra make some!! I am not sure of the part number, but i have seen them, and i know a couple of guys over here that have some. In the UK you can also get spacers that go between the hub and the wheel - made from carbon fibre. You would obviously need longer screws to use these as well.

That was a really big help.
btw my rear width on my 12X is about 171mm with prisms.
A teammate made some 2mm spacers and that fits perfect.
I had the same prob with my rear

I took a Washer size 7x14x2mm flexed it so that fits into the inside of the bearingholder. Since then no probs.

I have a 12x and I just measured my rear wheel width and this is 166 mm. So I have to make it 6 mm wider. How do I do that? Where do I have to put the spacers? Where can I get the spacers from? Is Corally selling these spacers?

You gave me very good info. I measured now the left and right side and it is 1,4 mm short to the left. So I need to put more shims on this side.

I had the same prob with my rear

Also, has anyone run the CRC front end back-to-back with the AE style (Corally WC) front end? Any advantages one way or the other?

The only difference i could see as far as geometry between the AE and CRC front end is the location of the ballstud on the steering block. The turnbuckles are run shorter on the CRC than the AE and it isnt tucked inside the wheel like the AE. I havent tried it but i looked at the CRC front end on chestons car and that was all i could find different. It seemed to work good.

Not on our new car. We did testing between both of our cars with identicle setups and i think the CRC front end likes to run with the servo on the angled mounts more than running it flat. It seemed to have a push to it compared to the AE setup. The push wasnt there when the CRC front end ran with the servo on the angled mounts.

I flexed it to the right size so that fits perfect into the bearing holder.
I measured the holders inside and made my "special washer" so that fits perfect without bending.
Like you can see on the first pic you can "see" , if you can imagine, a lot of space between the tube and holder.
With my mod there is no space between them.
Prob solved.
There is no chance in hell to punch a bearing through the bearing holder again
